Transgender Restrooms!!!!

Elections do have their consequences. We can thank those Republicans and conservatives who held back their vote or voted for some third-party candidate who could never ever possibly won a presidential victory in 2008 and 2012 for the current federal liberal progressives having their way with the public. I will never understand the notion of being so angry with your political party to the point of not caring if your angry actions help to give victory to the opposing political party who continues to make changes that are screwing up the country.

gender_neutral_signHow do you feel about transgender restrooms? I know I am very uncomfortable with them. The Obama administration feds are Forcing public schools to adopt ‘nondiscrimination’ for transgender teachers and students, which includes making school restrooms transgender. Before the word, transgender ever became apart of anyone’s vocabulary, I took a class on one of Temple University’s campuses. The 2 story building of my class had one restroom with several stalls for everyone. I went to use it and I walked in on a male coming out of a stall. I walked back out and found another classroom building with male and female restrooms.

When I worked in the childcare classroom, sometimes while the custodian cleaned one of the boys’ or girl’s restroom, we would designate stalls for the little preschool girls and boys to use in the other restroom. Once one parent saw this going on, the childcare center then received a barrage of complaints. Taking preschoolers to the restroom that way stopped. How do you feel about a boy whose parents let him live as a girl going into a restroom with your daughter? How do you feel as an adult going to use a restroom with a big clunky male living as female or a female appearing as a male?

Blogging Return: Trouble Making Subject For Me

Well, it sure has been a while! The little posting that I did dealt with special days and holidays. Just when it was time to take this blog away from WordPress and make it my own, I lost the blogging fever. That fever has yet to fully return, but it is long past time to put a post on this blog.

ImpeachOkay, I am blogging after a long while on a subject, that had me fussing in past blog posts, but it still gets to me and also gets me in to trouble. Last Saturday, a person angrily responded to my comments on his Facebook page and unfriended me. This self-proclaimed Christian man was so angry at my comment that he used some curse words. Of course it was about Pres. Obama. Just because, I respond with correct information that does not hurt Obama does not mean, I am secretly for him. As far as the unfriending goes, I replaced him with a new Facebook friend. I was commenting on his ‘Impeach Obama’ meme.  He did not like my comment of the required 67 Senate votes for conviction and that Obama was not going anywhere until Jan 20, 2017.

I see plenty of ‘Impeach Obama’ memes on Facebook. This tells me that there are many in this country  who have an inaccurate knowledge base of the presidential impeachment process. There are too many people who think impeachment equals removal from office and that is wrong. Remember Bill Clinton suffered impeachment, but he was not convicted and finished out his 2nd term. Oh, the millions spent on trying to remove Clinton from the Presidency and in the end, that did not happen! If impeachment does not result in a conviction and removal from office, then it is a waste of time and money.

Impeachment is really an indictment. The removal from office only comes after the trial and deliberation of the Senate with a guilty verdict. The guilty verdict requires 2/3 i.e. 67 Senate vote. In the Republican vs the Democrat realm, there are not enough votes in the Senate for a conviction. There is anger with the House so far for not getting the impeachment process underway. But the House knows the Senate does not have the 67 votes for a conviction.

I think many of those who want impeachment as my ex-Facebook friend are among the crowd that held back their vote or voted for some 3rd party candidate that could not possibly win in 2012 due to anger with the Republican Party. That anger was so volatile, that they did not care that Barack Obama would receive another term, but now they do. Desiring impeachment is a way of making amends with themselves for allowing their actions to help Pres. Obama to another term. Read up on the process of a presidential impeachment here.

Career Day in 2014

Gary Varvel_Career DayGary Varvel Cartoon

This is sad, but it is a reality of today’s economy. There are young college graduates finding themselves working in fast food and/or taking more than 1 part-time job. They thought they would be employed by an organization, big company or etc. making a nice salary with good benefits. Do you support and did you vote for Barack Obama for President?  We are now into the 6th year of his presidency. It is not intelligent to continue to blame George W. Bush for the state of the economy 6 years after his presidency. This economy that delivers low skilled full-time and non benefit part-time jobs over skilled full-time jobs with benefits is the Obama economy.

And These are Young Voters

This is an example of ignorance among the educated. We have college students who cannot name a U. S. Senator. That means they do not know the two senators who represents them in the U. S. Senate. Now how sad is that? What where they taught the 3 branches of government in school? Were they paying any attention? Are these students voting? If they are, not being able to name a senator puts them in the low information bracket of voters.

No to the Democratic Left Defining Those on the Right

FBMeme_Being for God and Country

Oh, I like this Citizens for Freedom meme, but it does remind me of the success of liberal/lefty Democrats in projecting the beliefs stated in yellow on to the right thinking conservatives and Republicans. The one thing that was left out in yellow from decades ago is uncaring rich fat cats. Now most of the folks among my christian Democratic Party family and friends would object to being called anti-God and amoral even though they turn their head the other way on such super pro democratic issues as late-term abortion and promoting being gay as an alternative lifestyle to young school-age  children as you can read here.

One can find non believers in God in any political party, but there are Democrats who are making the effort to do away with God in their party’s platform. I remember the shock of hurt on my mother’s face in watching the Democrats boo God during their 2012 national presidential convention. As much as my mother loves certain TV preachers and prophecy teachers, she ignored them when they spoke on political issues, because they are all Republican and conservative. Today she has a hard time trying to ignore them and that it hurt for her to realize how far the Democratic Party moved away from the ways of God.

When it comes to thinking for oneself, for me, it is about escaping group black think. I do not have to think a certain way because of the color of my skin. I am in that category of believing in, honoring and loving God and loving my country and the Democrats continue to be successful with the deep put down of those in that category. I still want to visit other countries, but do not want to live out my life as a citizen anywhere but here in the United States. What is wrong with that? The beliefs stated in yellow in the above meme are not representative of those on the right. We need to increase our preparation for success in keeping the Democratic left from being able to negatively define us on the Republican and conservative right.
