The memory of the righteous is blessed….
I posted about my mother for Mother’s Day since doing this blog. She is still going strong at 89 years of age. If you go through my Mother’s Day May posts in this blog’s archive, you will find out that my mother made fabulous suites, dresses, and hats. She was the kind of parent teachers loved because she would not stand for me and my siblings cutting up in school. We had to behave and respect the teachers. My mother loves the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. You will also read of her health issues and realize that the good Lord blessed her to still be here with a sharp mind. Thank you, Lord.
The photo of my mother and me is from early April of 2013. She still looks the same. I always post a music selection that she especially enjoys. For this year, it is Every Praise by Hezekiah Walker.
Elections do have their consequences. We can thank those Republicans and conservatives who held back their vote or voted for some third-party candidate who could never ever possibly won a presidential victory in 2008 and 2012 for the current federal liberal progressives having their way with the public. I will never understand the notion of being so angry with your political party to the point of not caring if your angry actions help to give victory to the opposing political party who continues to make changes that are screwing up the country.
How do you feel about transgender restrooms? I know I am very uncomfortable with them. The Obama administration feds are Forcing public schools to adopt ‘nondiscrimination’ for transgender teachers and students, which includes making school restrooms transgender. Before the word, transgender ever became apart of anyone’s vocabulary, I took a class on one of Temple University’s campuses. The 2 story building of my class had one restroom with several stalls for everyone. I went to use it and I walked in on a male coming out of a stall. I walked back out and found another classroom building with male and female restrooms.
When I worked in the childcare classroom, sometimes while the custodian cleaned one of the boys’ or girl’s restroom, we would designate stalls for the little preschool girls and boys to use in the other restroom. Once one parent saw this going on, the childcare center then received a barrage of complaints. Taking preschoolers to the restroom that way stopped. How do you feel about a boy whose parents let him live as a girl going into a restroom with your daughter? How do you feel as an adult going to use a restroom with a big clunky male living as female or a female appearing as a male?
Well, a few months of time went between this post and my last one. I am still not back into blogging as I thought. So much went down between my February post and now! I get teased by my Democratic family members and friends about all the possible Republican presidential candidates. One online Democratic friend enjoys teasing me about how the Republicans love eating their own. That person is looking forward to the Republican debates to see that in great action. This person also feels the Republican eating of their own is the main reason the RNC cut down the number of debates for up and coming Republican presidential debates.
Of course, I responded with the fact that they had no choice and that there were plenty of Democrats who were not all that happy with only having Hillary Clinton as their only choice as their Democratic presidential candidate. Now, that has changed. Even though it is not much of a challenging choice, self-described Democratic socialist, Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent announced he is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. I hear the former Democratic Baltimore Mayor and former Maryland Governor, Martin O’Malley most likely will also be a Democratic presidential candidate.
On the Republican side, I do not have one sure choice. I do like Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. Scott Walker. For now, I am not even considering possible presidential candidates, Jeb Bush or Chris Christie or Republican presidential candidates who do not have any elective office experience. I admit due to sentimental reasons, I do care for Mike Huckabee. He has the RINO label, because of his taxing record as Governor of Arkansas. I was for Huckabee for President as a new Republican in 2008. I did not get to vote for him because Sen. John McCain had won enough votes and delegates to get the Republican presidential nomination before the PA presidential primary took place. Well, not being able to have my vote counted in the presidential primary/caucus season is another blog post.
Republicans are putting forth a great range of choice. We even have the one thing that we face accusations of not having and that is diversity. Besides whites, Republicans have a black man, latino men, and a woman as declared presidential candidates. The Democrats so far have two aging people of the same race, one being a woman. The third/new party cry is only coming from the conservative and Republican side. Oh, that would considerably split the conservatives and Republicans and again give the presidency to the Democrats. I do not want another Democrat elected to be our next President.
