Elections do have their consequences. We can thank those Republicans and conservatives who held back their vote or voted for some third-party candidate who could never ever possibly won a presidential victory in 2008 and 2012 for the current federal liberal progressives having their way with the public. I will never understand the notion of being so angry with your political party to the point of not caring if your angry actions help to give victory to the opposing political party who continues to make changes that are screwing up the country.
How do you feel about transgender restrooms? I know I am very uncomfortable with them. The Obama administration feds are Forcing public schools to adopt ‘nondiscrimination’ for transgender teachers and students, which includes making school restrooms transgender. Before the word, transgender ever became apart of anyone’s vocabulary, I took a class on one of Temple University’s campuses. The 2 story building of my class had one restroom with several stalls for everyone. I went to use it and I walked in on a male coming out of a stall. I walked back out and found another classroom building with male and female restrooms.
When I worked in the childcare classroom, sometimes while the custodian cleaned one of the boys’ or girl’s restroom, we would designate stalls for the little preschool girls and boys to use in the other restroom. Once one parent saw this going on, the childcare center then received a barrage of complaints. Taking preschoolers to the restroom that way stopped. How do you feel about a boy whose parents let him live as a girl going into a restroom with your daughter? How do you feel as an adult going to use a restroom with a big clunky male living as female or a female appearing as a male?
Having my young childhood in the 50s and into the early 60s, I can relate to most that is in the video, especially my parents siding with the teacher. I more than survived. I lived a blessed happy childhood. I remember playing on neighborhood playground equipment long before the required surface padding. I cannot fathom why my parents never forbade me to play on those see-saws that went rather high in the air. I fell off of them a few times. It’s a wonder I never ended up with a serious head injury or a broken neck! In fact, I was in my late 30s before I even dislocated a bone.
Zo just has a way of saying things! I love him, but other do not share my sentiment. I do see the usual Uncle Tom insults in the comment section on the youtube pages of his videos. Well, if you read this blog post, you know people do not realize that they are rendering a compliment when they call someone an Uncle Tom.
This brother’s keeper thing coming from the left is the equalizing of life for everyone through taxation. It’s about being okay with decreasing people’s take home pay by taking another chunk of their money from them to make everyone equal and/or to help folks to not have to deal with consequences from certain behaviors. For example, I am not for taxpayer money providing the funds for those who want birth control, abortifacients, or abortions, but you or I do not have any say about our it. Your money is just taxed out to make them less expensive or free. I am for being less taxed so that people can have more of a say and freely give more of their money to help people in ways that do not go against the Word of God, which is better for Christians when it comes to being your brother’s keeper.
Former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice is on target with the statement below. This victimology thinking continues to have a hold on too many brains today. There are folks in this country who continue to cry affliction and persecution and are very vocal about entitlement. No one owes you or me anything. Entitlement! As Dr. Rice says, “…you still won’t have a job.” Employment in the long run is the best for anyone’s life over an entitlement.
Oh, the folks who are into labeling black people Uncle Toms for not seeing things through race as they see them! Alabama State Representative, Alvin Holmes is one of those folks. This man holds a B.S., M. Ed, M.A., and a LL.D degree; therefore, one would be surprised by his narrow racist thinking that caused him to call and defend his statement that Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom. He also did not like the fact that Justice Thomas married a white woman.
Rep. Holmes sounds so ridiculous! I am so thankful I escaped out of group black think. It is obvious that Rep. Holmes is very entrenched in group black think with roots growing down to the core of the earth. Hey, it is the human race and not viewing life through the tunnel vision of a particular race. Again, I must say that calling someone an Uncle Tom is really a compliment.
It surprises me how people do not know that Harriet Beecher Stowe based the Uncle Tom character in her Uncle Tom’s Cabin on Josiah P. Henson. Mr. Henson was born a slave who escaped to Canada and led hundreds upon hundreds of slaves to their wonderful freedom through the underground railroad. He was a Methodist minister and started a settlement house called the Dawn Institute in Canada which taught trades to people who had escaped enslavement. Read more here. So if you are ready to label someone an Uncle Tom, know that you are really complementing that person.
