The Lord Deserves All From You

 

Colossians 2:6-10

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Times Sure Have Changed!

The anti-abortion billboard in a New York City neighborhood in the above photo is down. Black critics from the leftist liberal side such as Rev. Al Sharpton, let it be known that the billboard is an affront to black women. They are not that upset about the killing of the innocent life in the womb. The major reaction is that it is a type of racial profiling against a black woman’s right to choose.

I remember way back when black people quoted or interviewed on TV on the subject of abortion, you would hear them almost brag about how blacks kept their babies instead of aborting. Sometimes the baby would not remain with the mother, but would be raised by another family member or a relative. I realized later that was the deal with a few of my neighborhood friends and  classmates. Times sure have changed!

Nailing That Spin on Wisconsin Doctor/Teacher Fraud

I love Megyn Kelly of Fox News. She is a former litigator. From what I see of her  interviews (and sometimes interrogations)  on her program, America Now, she nails folks to the wall who attempt to control the interview with their own spin. Ms. Kelly would not let Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association President, Mike Langyel turn the interview away from on her question of whether he condoned doctors in Wisconsin giving out fraudulent medical excuse notes to protesting teachers.

These medical notes are lies, because the protesting teachers are not sick, hurt, or in need of time for any kind of healing. I wonder how the teachers who are parents and use the lying doctor’s notes, explain their actions to their children. Most likely, these parents are quick to discipline their own children for being willfully involved in anything that smacks of lying and fraud. Check out Megyn Kelly and Mike Langyel going at it.

I love it when Ms. Kelly says,    “For better or for worse, I’m the anchor and you’re the guest, so I’ll come up with the questions and you can answer them or not.”

 

Despicable Response to a Purple Heart Veteran

A military veteran speaks to a college audience and gets mocked and jeered. Well, I saw this unbelievable reaction to folks in the military and veterans, in 2007/2008, when people mocked  Sen. John McCain’s military service when he was a running for President of this country. That was  abominable. Those courageous people  in the armed forces use to be supported, respected and loved by most people regardless of political outlook. Now those in the armed forces are almost hated by those on those gathering on the extreme leftist side.

This latest abominable behavior towards someone who has fought for our protection happened to Anthony Maschek, a former army staff sergeant who received the Purple Heart. He suffers from being shot 11 times in a firefight in Iraq. As a student there,  he spoke at  Columbia University to promote a possible return of ROTC ( Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) on the campus. Students against the return came to protest, which in itself is not wrong, because we have that right to do so. But the name calling and jeering directed at this veteran of valor in wheel chair with loss of limb is so loathsome! State your objections in a respectful and professional way. Why get personal with nasty attacks?

Just think, these ivy league students who jeered and insulted this wounded veteran for his service to our country are future leaders. Hopefully, when some of them mature and experience the ups and downs of life, they will come to regret their behavior towards Anthony Maschek. Listen to a little of what happened here. Ezekiel Saw de (the) Wheel

Ezekiel 10:13-19

As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, “Wheel.” Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.And the cherubim were lifted up. This was the living creature I saw by the River Chebar.  When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also did not turn from beside them.When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when one was lifted up, the other lifted itself up, for the spirit of the living creature was in them. Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim. And the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
