Zo and Today’s Brother’s Keeper

Zo just has a way of saying things! I love him, but other do not share my sentiment. I do see the usual Uncle Tom insults in the comment section on the youtube pages of his videos. Well, if you read this blog post, you know people do not realize that they are rendering a compliment when they call someone an Uncle Tom.

This brother’s keeper thing coming from the left is the equalizing of life for everyone through taxation. It’s about being okay with decreasing people’s take home pay by taking another chunk of their money from them to make everyone equal and/or to help folks to not have to deal with consequences from certain behaviors. For example, I am not for taxpayer money providing the funds for those who want birth control, abortifacients, or abortions, but you or I do not have any say about our it. Your money is just taxed out to make them less expensive or free. I am for being less taxed so that people can have more of a say and freely give more of their money to help people in ways that do not go against the Word of God, which is better for Christians when it comes to being your brother’s keeper.

Hillary Clinton Again

Hillary Clinton 2016aIt looks like Hillary Clinton will be making another run for President. I was a Democrat during her years as First Lady. When Mrs. Clinton decided to run for New York’s next Senator, I was all for it. In all honesty, my heart-felt support came from my pity for her after she experienced public humiliation at the hands of her President husband, Bill Clinton and his sexcapades with Monica Lewinsky. My support had nothing to do with any qualifications she possessed to represent the people of New York.

I wonder if people think Mrs. Clinton is due the presidency, because she was supposed to be elected President in 2008. In the early days of that presidential season, the projection was that Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic presidential nominee and Rudy Giuliani would the Republican presidential nominee. Now how wrong was that? Mr. Giuliani quickly went down the drain early in the primary season. Barack Obama came on the presidential scene on the Democratic side and just took Mrs. Clinton’s presidential hopes with him as he became the Democratic presidential nominee and then our President. People changed their mind and went with electing the first black male President over the first white female President.

Next year will be here faster than most of us will realize with the start of the presidential campaigns in both major political parties with the debates. Then 2016 will bring the primaries, national political party conventions, that heavy September/October presidential campaigning with the two-party candidates debating and then the election. It seems like Hillary Clinton has already received the Democratic presidential candidacy. One would consider what happened in Benghazi under her tenure as Secretary of State to be a glaring stumbling block in her efforts to be the next President. But then on the Democratic side, people like her.

Now think! Can you name a Hillary Clinton achievement? Well neither can these Democrats!

Why Not at the Beginning with Minimum Wage?

Liberal Logic 101_Ann Coulter_MW

Yes! If this minimum wage thing is so important, why did not Pres. Obama put it to the Democrats when they had just about the highest numbers in both Houses of Congress? The Pres. is using the minimum wage to divert us from his failed policies such as the ACA (Affordable Care Act) which is hurting so many more people than it is helping across this country with its high co-pays, deductibles, and its non coverage for infants. The ACA is also having a negative affect on employment. Go here for one man’s sharing of his experience with Pres. Obama.

Now that I think of those first two years of the Obama administration, I do remember cries for increasing employment and raising the minimum wage from the left over health care. The administration ignored those cries as the Pres. assigned certain members of the House and Senate to come together with a health care bill. Working on ways to increase employment really never happened. So finally, I leave you with this.

My Talk Radio Programs

Microphone_talk radioMy talk radio listening keeps evolving. There was a time when I could listen to one entire talker program on the liberal side. This was a local based talk show on Philly’s one and only urban talk radio station. The radio talk host is a liberal/lefty but he was a consummate professional. He had a chat room going while he program was on the air. He was always polite and respectful while disagreeing with my growing right-wing comments. He gave up his radio talk show to accept a reporter gig on TV program, Chasing New Jersey.

The station has one syndicated liberal/left talker, Al Sharpton. I now have a hard time listening to him for more than five minutes. I use to be able to put up with him for about 45 minutes. In my birth and growth as a conservative, I am about seven and half years along and now wondering as a thinking adult, how did I stay in the liberal/lefty camp for over thirty years of my life.

There are so many local and syndicated right-wing radio talkers these days. I find myself listening to some for a while and then turn to their competition for a while. I listen to the syndicated talkers such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham. I listen to local Philly talk folks such as Dom Giordano and Fox News exile, Dick Morris. I listen online to local talker, James T. Harris, because his program is on in Tuscon, Arizona. I listen online to other radio talkers, such as Herman Cain, Brian Kilmeade and delayed Mark Levin programs.

New to my regular online listening is Christian talk programming, such as Janet Parshall’s In the Market Place and Steve Deace. I really like Steve Deace. He use to be on a local Philly talk  station at his 9 P. M. broadcast time. I do not like that the station bumped him to 3 A. M., so I listen to him online. Mr. Deace discusses the political, social and cultural through a biblical world view.

I am participating in Steve Deace’s weekly (Republican) Candidate Survivor Island in where you vote for the possible Republican presidential candidates that you do not want to see as the 2016 Republican presidential candidate and eventually the next President. So far participants voted Gov. Chris Christie, Rep. Peter King, Jeb Bush and Haley Barbour off the Island. This evening I cast my vote for Donald Trump to be the next to go. If you want to participate, go here. You will have to give your name, email address and answer a few more questions, before you get to the page with the candidates’ names. You will have until next Monday in the afternoon to cast your vote and you will hear Mr. Deace announce who got the boot on his program later that evening or read it on his Facebook page or on Twitter.

I enjoy listening to the various individuals on the right. I do not  agree with them one hundred percent, but I find myself not agreeing with anything I hear coming from liberal lefties. This is a strong indication that I am really maturing in my right-wing thinking.

Capitalism iPhone and Socialist ACA

Liberal Logic 101_capitalism1

Liberal Logic 101 makes a good contrast between the capitalist’s entrepreneurial iPhone product and the legislated Affordable Care Act (ACA) also known as Obamacare. Individuals whose health care is not supplied through their employers must now buy this new government health care regardless of whether or not the ACA product meets their needs or even if they can afford it. Capitalism does not fine you in order to make you buy a product.
