I am cross posting. I started a blog of purely Christian posts. Due to this being the Resurrection holiday weekend, I am sharing my post from my Christian blog.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him
The Lord Jesus Christ took the punishment for our sins. And yes, we all sin, because we are not perfect and do wrong in our lives against God. Whether we sin knowingly and unknowingly, it is still sin. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins. None of us can atone for our sins on our own merits.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Oh gracious loving heavenly Father, I cannot thank you enough for your precious Son, Jesus Christ. You gave Him to take the punishment for what I do wrong against you. I pray that other people will come to see that they need your Son in the pardoning of their sins. In the name of your Son, my precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray, Amen.
