Louis Farrakhan really has a huge audience out side of the Nation of Islam. I am not a part of that audience. He continues to infuriate me. It also infuriates me even more that people who call themselves Christian, give high honor and revere the divisive and Mothership believing Louis Farrakhan. He spoke last month at American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) in Chicago. In looking for video of his speech, I see this was not the first time that ACLC had Farrakhan to speak to before them.
Two weeks later, Louis Farrakhan spoke at the Salem United Methodist Church in Harlem to over 500 spiritual leaders from the East Coast. It was a follow-up to his Chicago speech. Some who came to hear him at this church are ACLC affiliates. He was given a standing ovation upon his entrance. He talked about the Jesus he said he knows. Well it could not be the Lord Jesus Christ, because Muslims teach and believe that God is no father. He has no son. Their Jesus is a lesser prophet not the Savior who took the punishment for what we do wrong against God the Father. I really do not think the people he spoke to know the difference. Plus, I think the people at both places believe all roads lead to heaven and that is so wrong. They most likely took Mr. Farrakhan’s twisted words as truth.

If you are a supporter of the Pres., his comment should infuriate you. It really rubbed me the wrong way and I am looking to vote the Pres. out of office in 2012.

I am with you on this, Bev. Can people actually be that blind to Farrakhan? I am baffled that any clergy of any kind would give any credence to this man. As far as I am concerned, he is an enemy of Christ. Now why would anyone who calls themselves Christian espouse anything he has to say?
Yes Marianne, people are that blind. There are so many that identify themselves as Christians and are completely ignorant of what it means to be Christian. They have very little clue as to what is really in God’s word.

I really have to agree. I actually saw a picture of him in front of a banner and I could make out that it said “methodist” and “clergy”. My search led me to this article. I am apalled to find out that not just one pastor, but over 500 of them would be so blind as to listen to anything he has to say. Farrakhan invented the “nation of islam” himself, it is different than the islam we are sadly familiar with. I did a paper on it in college and it is absolutely bizarre. I encourage anyone reading this to look up his version of creation. You will then discredit him even further than you already have (if possible).

Lee, the God that gave us Jesus Christ who took the punishment for our wrong doing is the God that opens my eyes daily; so, no blindness here. I do not have a slave master. Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. You can’t get to the heavenly father except by Jesus Christ. (John 14:6 in the bible, if you care). God’s messenger is not Muhammad or Louis Farrakhan.The only thing that I could possibly appreciate about Mr. Farrakhan is his love for classical music (so called slave master’s music) and his classic violin playing.
The church of Christ in America is so backslidden that discernment is no longer functioning in most denominations.The culture has infiltrated the church. Mt 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
