Two Responses to the Accidental Quran Burning Apologies

Are you upset with the unaccepted apologies made over the accidental Quran burning in Afghanistan? The results of the  apologies from Pres. Obama,  Gen. John Allen and Pentagon Official, Dr. Peter Lavoy is ongoing rioting, the deaths of 2 American soldiers and the wounding of 4 other soldiers by an Afghan soldier this past Thursday. Oh! As I am doing this post, I am hearing news reports of the deaths of 2 American advisers in Kabul. Obviously there is a strong Afghan Muslim unforgivable position on accidental Quran burning.

Yes, Afghanistan should be giving out a ton of apologies. I am so thankful that I was not born in that country or a country that remotely resembles it.

Non-Voting Conservatives Means Another Term For Pres. Obama

In 2008, right-side thinking folks like a late blogging buddy and Joseph Farrah, editor-in-chief of the right conservative wnd.com chose not to vote in the presidential election. Remember his “None of the Above” campaign and book? He and others on the right could not support Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain, because he was not strong in conservatism. Well, I feel the non-voting action of people like Mr. Farah helped Barack Obama become the President of the United States. I do not think a McCain administration would resemble this current one as Mr. Farah does. I just cannot see Obamacare type legislation and its controversies under a Pres. McCain.

For conservatives who do not like any of the 2012 Republican presidential candidates, please do not do what Joseph Farah did in 2008. Do not stay home on Nov. 6, 2012 or vote for some 3rd party candidate who has no chance of winning. Democrats are counting on disaffected conservatives to do just that. They know that helps Barack Obama to remain the President for another term. Oh the damage he could do with a 2nd term! Pres. Obama seems pretty confident that he will get another term too!

Do not forget what you just heard in this video and vote Republican in November. Do not give Barack Obama another term.

President’s Day (And Take the Quiz)

Happy President’s Day!. In my neck of the woods, public, parochial and private schools closed today. When I worked in child care, 2 of my employers closed the centers for this day. The other 2 wondered why would any child care closed for business on President’s Day. In my remaining child care years, I had to get use to not having the 3rd Monday off in this month, which meant unless I took a vacation or personal day, I worked straight from January to the Memorial Holiday in late May unless the center closed in the winter months due to heavy snow and/or ice weather conditions.

During my school years, schools closed on Feb. 12th and Feb. 22nd for Abraham Lincoln and George Washington respectively. It was not until 1971, when Presidents, Lincoln, Washington and the inclusion of all other U. S. Presidents fused into one day for celebration by the former and late President, Richard Nixon.

Government and Schools Taking Authority Over Parents

I am sure you have heard of a preschool child’s lunch replaced by a state inspector with a government chicken nugget lunch in the state of North Carolina. The child’s parents received a bill for the replacement. The child’s lunch consist of a turkey and cheese sandwich, juice drink, banana and potato chips. This lunch did not meet USDA nutritional guidelines. Most reports put emphasis on the fried chicken nugget replacement, questioning its nutritional value against the turkey and cheese sandwich, but I did read online that the reason for the lunch replacement was due to no vegetable being present and the inclusion of junk food potato chips.  The mother said the child was finicky about vegetables, so she encouraged vegetable eating when eating meals at home.

Now really, is it necessary for a government official to step in and change the child’s lunch? Who says the child is going to eat the government lunch that included a vegetable anyway? That poor child was also given the message that his/her mother did wrong with the turkey and cheese sandwich lunch. I feel the government and schools are going out of their way to plant “your parents do not know what they are doing” seeds in children’s minds these days. The effort to erode parental authority has already shifted into high gear.

If you do not feel the lunch thing is so bad, how about government backing of schools providing free condoms to students even in elementary school regardless of how parents feel? This is coming from the progressive leftist side of things. Can you even count on 1 hand any conservative promoting anyone policing school lunches and giving out any kind of free contraceptives to minor school students?
